10 months old

At ten months old Roman is one wild little boy. He never holds still for longer than 2 minutes and is always getting into trouble. He is constantly jabbering and having "conversations" with anyone who will talk back to him. He isn't walking on his own yet but he's very close. Rome loves playing with his daddy but he's still a mommas boy ;-). Chase and I are so lucky to have such a handsome little guy in our lives.

Play time

Last night we decided to try a new activity called "sensory play". The point of this was to let Roman experience new textures and to encourage the development of his motor skills and creativity. We first started by pouring some dry infant cereal in front of him We would add a little bit of water at a time so he could see and feel the changes in the cereal as it went from light and dry to thick and wet. At first he wasn't sure about touching it and getting dirty but after a few minutes he dove right in and had a blast making a huge mess.

9 months old!!!

On January 8 we had Roman blessed! We just wanted to say thank you to all of our friends and family who came and participated in this special moment. 

He looked so handsome in his little outfit <3

Rome is now 9 months old!!! It's crazy to think that he will be 1 soon. He can crawl, walk with help, say "mama", "yaya" (dada), "baba", he loves it when you sing to him, and we are teaching him sign language! It's amazing how fast he learns and how observant he is. 

Every night before bed we read a book. 

It's one of his favorite activities.

New years eve was a blast, nothing beats spending time with the family!

every time he would blow raspberries on the back of his neck Rome would pull this face.

It was cracking everyone up.

He loved watching fireworks outside with mom and dad!

Overall it was an amazing night! I'm so happy we were able to spend time with our family! 2012 here we come!!!

Christmas eve we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Dodges

house for dinner! He was got lucky and was able to open one of his presents

Christmas morning we were up bright and early!

He was still a little out of it and didn't really know what was going on haha

Once he had the chance to wake up

he had a blast!

Later that day we got dressed and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Carlsons

house to open more presents and spend time with our family!

Romans first Christmas was so much fun. We are so blessed to have such an amazing little boy in our lives.. and not to mention a wonderful family who has supported us through everything. We love you guys.

8 months

Roman is now 8 months old!! He can now crawl, pull himself up, and he takes little steps if you hold him up by his hands. He'll be walking in no time... definitely not looking forward to that though lol I'll have my hands full! His energy is never ending!!! But man do we love him. Chase and I are so blessed to have such an adorable little boy. I think I speak for both of us when I say Roman is the highlight of our lives!

Thanksgiving weekend!

I know I'm a little late posting these but here are some pictures of Romans first Thanksgiving and the first time he got to meet his aunt Sayli and cousin Bostyn!

and playing with some great people,

he passed out.

A big thanks to the Dodge family for letting us spend Thanksgiving with you! We had a blast!

Sayli and Bostyn came to visit us from South Dakota and spent a week here. It's been 5 years since I last saw my BFF and this was the first time Roman and I got to meet Bostyn. We enjoyed every second of it and hopefully we'll get to see them again soon.
