19 years old

Being a young mommy means we met a little early, but I get to love you longer. Some people say my life ended when I had a baby, but my life has just begun. You gave me the motivation I needed to get on the right track. You didn't take my future away, you gave me a new one....

A trip to Grandma and Grandpas house

Sunday we went over to see Grandma Sylvia and Grandpa Todd! Roman was very happy to see everyone. He was jumping, smiling, laughing, and growling the entire time we were there lol.

4 months!

Roman is now 4 months old as of yesterday! He weighs 13 pounds and is 24 inches long. He is so much fun to play with now. He loves to dance, he is always laughing and smiling, he flirts with girls every where we go, and he talks to you. It's is the cutest thing in the world lol. Chase and I have had a blast with him.

Thursday we had his physical therapy appointment for his neck. Chase had to work so I had to go alone... what a pain in the butt! I was trying to fill out paper work and the entire time Roman was jumping up and down on my lap. He is a hard baby to hold because he is constantly moving! But after I finally got that taken care of we went back into the room and his P.T. took measurements of his head and flexibility, stretched a few muscles, and decided everything was perfectly fine! We just have to try to keep him off the right side of his head as much as possible so it rounds out a bit. She gave me a few exercises to do with him to help strengthen his neck and asked us to come back next week to make sure everything still looks good.

8 hours later Roman was born!

this is the first time I got to hold him. best moment of my life.

The nurses cleaned him up and after NICU checked out his lungs

I got to cuddle with him on my chest for an hour before heading to our room.

chase got to spend a lot of time with him while we were at the hospital.

Looking at these pictures makes me realize how fast this last year has flown by. A lot has happened and it has been very difficult.. But thanks to Chase, his parents Ronda and Dave, Sylvia, my dad, my mom, and Pat we made it! Love you guys and there is no way I could have done it without your love and support.

Hogle Zoo

Today Roman took his first trip to Hogle zoo! It was nice to get ou tof the house and spend time with Holden, Kaitlin, and Ashley. Rome wasn't very happy about sitting in his stroller and cried most of the time but we still had a blast!!!

Rolling over!

Rome rolled over from his back to his belly yesterday for the first time!!!!! I can't believe he can do it already!!! of course he won't do it when every one is watching lol but I did manage to get a video. It's crazy how big and strong he is compared to how tiny and frail he was when he was first born.

Roman has a new favorite toy... his jumparoo.
It's so funny watching him play in it because only his tippy toes touch the floor haha. But he doesn't care.. as long as he is sitting up and able to see everything going on around him he is happy.

what a long week

Poor Roman has a cold. He has been very unhappy lately and the only time I can set him down is if he's asleep. so on top of reflux,, and teething we can add a cold to the list. Luckily he hasn't been running a fever but he is having a hard time breathing. During the day the easiest way to get him to sleep is going outside and sitting in the swing or putting him in his bouncer. He passes right out.

As most of you know Roman has a flat spot on the side of his head. His doctor wanted us to go to physical therapy because she thinks his neck muscles aren't as strong on his right side as they are on the left so he tends to favor one side. I scheduled his appointment for the 17th so hopefully that will help. Until then we've been trying to keep him off his right side so it will even out a little bit more. It's looking better every day!

Being a stay at home mom is the best thing in the world.I have so much fun playing with Roman and being there for all of his firsts. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
